AmeriDri has been installing crawl space vapor barriers in Colorado Springs for nearly 25 years. Below is a picture of what a properly installed crawl space vapor barrier should look like when complete.
Do You Have a Damp or Wet Crawlspace
If you have a crawl space that is constantly wet from high ground water or has a bad odor that you need to eliminate in Greater Colorado Springs or surrounding areas, then you have come to the right place for help. we go where you don’t want to go. First this is what Wikipedia says a vapor barrier is used for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vapor_barrier Also keep in mind that a properly encapsulated crawl space will last many years.
At AmeriDri we only use the highest quality materials when installing a crawlspace vapor barrier. We use 10, 12 or 20 mil plastic, not 6 mil like most other companies. Check out our blog post for more information on the benefits of a crawl space vapor barrier .
Water in Crawl Space
water in your crawl space can cause a lot of damage that can get quite expensive to mitigate. AmeriDri would first remove the water and then begin drying the crawl space. After the crawl space is dry we would apply a green antimicrobial before the vapor barrier installation. The 2 photos below shows a crawl space full of water and after the water was removed we show a completed encapsulated crawl space. AmeriDri has been installing high quality vapor barriers for nearly 25 years and we have an A+ with the BBB for over thirteen years.
Crawl Space Cleaning
Cleaning your crawl space is essential for good indoor air quality, especially if your heating system is in your crawlspace. Having a professional mitigation company clean, sanitize, HEPA vacuum and seal this space will really help your air quality. If your crawl space has efflorescence on the concrete walls or mold growth on the underside of the sub floor, we would need to clean that area first with a chemical that will kill the root system and then we would vacuum all the loose debris before we seal the area with a mold resistant sealer.
